Hello, I’m Jon Cressey.
This website is mainly a collection of my notes, thoughts and reflections, mostly on the Church, prophets and prophecy.
I write because writing helps me think. It gives me somewhere to gather ideas, work through questions and keep hold of things I do not want to lose.
I am not presenting myself as an authority on these subjects. There are theologians, commentators and scholars who are already doing that work far better than I could. These are simply my own reflections, questions and observations as I continue to read, think and listen.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Kerry, and I am part of Emmanuel Church Sheffield, where I am grateful to be led by two brilliant elders, Dave and Roger.
You can find nearly all my writing here on the website. Some pieces will be more finished than others. Most are simply part of an ongoing conversation with Scripture, the Church and the things I believe God may be saying.
