Explaining what I mean!

Not everyone who visits this website knows what all of the jargon means – so I will be posting some explanations as time allows!

Well, this is a good one. When I refer to the term ‘prophetic’ I am meaning one of two things – being someone who has actions, words or deeds that are like those of a prophet, including revelation, dreams and visions. You can’t make this up. Authentic prophet type ministry comes by revelation of the Holy Spirit alone. It is not about good ideas, great imagination or nice analogies. I’m also speaking of the noun. Prophetic is about being and doing. Usually the two go together.  Not everything you hear today that tries to take the name of being ‘prophetic’ really is, but when you hear it, you will know.  Only God can give revelation about the unknown, the unseen and the future. The secrets of the Lord are with those who fear Him, and He does nothing without revealing it to His servants, the prophets.  There’s not as many prophets today as people like to think, but there are lots of people who are being a prophetic people – and that is something ALL of the church is called to. Joel 2 talks about the end-times church. They hear God, see God, perceive God, dream about Him and see visions given by Him.

New Frontiers

Newfrontiers is a group of apostolic leaders partnering together on global mission, joined by common values and beliefs, shared mission and genuine relationships. It’s a family of Churches on a mission together – that sounds like a cliché, but it is how it is.  We’re not a denomination so every church in the New Frontiers has their own way of doing things, but the things we have in common, we really hold precious together. We are convinced about the role of the apostolic and prophetic ministry at the very heart of the Church.
