I wonder what the early Church would have thought about Social Media?
It is one of those subjects where the discussions we have can show us facets of our character that we did not know where there! Generally, it is rarely someone young that are renouncing and denouncing the media.
Sometimes the demeaning comment is heard when there are network problems, “Oh they had to speak to a real person!”
I think the early disciples would have had mixed opinions about social media, and I think Paul would have certainly positively exploited it for all it was worth. No-one knows. What I do know is that I have made many friends and had a lot of positive resources and help over the years from this remarkable creation.
In the early 1990’s much of what happened in Toronto, Pensacola, Lakeland was being communicated by email around the world and was probably a major factor in helping them gather the renown that they did.
It also helped Piper, Carson, Keller, Storms and countless thousands of Churches around the world.

People, unless they are psychopaths, like people, especially when they have similar interests! We are curious about what they are doing, how they are doing it, and sometimes more importantly, why they are doing it.
Social media is not going to go away and is only in its embryonic stages at this moment. Just be cautious and wise as you tell the world about yourself.
